I hate to say goodbye to this room. I have created lots of wonderful art here. I have had lots of giggles and inspiration from art friends here. I usually have a dog curled up at my feet here. I've loved the purple. I was so excited with this color when I first painted it....or should I say, when my husband painted it. I really just picked out the color! tee hee. But, like all artists, I have moved on to a new period. Didn't Picasso have a "blue period"?? I guess this was my "purple period". It's time to move on both literally and color wise. In preparation for packers coming on Monday, I have sorted through all my "stuff". While discarding dried bottles of paint, I discovered other treasures that I had completely forgotten. As I unpack on the other end and set up a new studio in a new color to start my new "sea foam period??", I'm hoping to come across even more treasures to inspire me to create even more wonderful pieces.
I will be shutting the computer down in a couple of days and it will take me a couple of weeks for my stuff to arrive, for the unpacking to begin and for us to figure out internet access in the cornfields of Illinois. Here's a last look at my purple studio. I will post pictures of my new studio in progress soon.
